Founder Mike Chrastecky has been in the semiconductor industry for over 28 years with exclusive concentration in the probe card industry for 20 of them. At the beginning of his career, he worked for Motorola (now Freescale) Austin with emphasis in hermetic and plastics package engineering until venturing out to start a sales company in the latter '80's. While his manufacturers’ rep business was diversified from front to back end products and capital equipment, probe cards have always been the focus of his career. He took his first direct sales management role with a small cantilever probe card company in the early '90's after beginning his family life with wife and partner Donna. Sons, Travis and Steven followed shortly thereafter. Mike has held several positions in the probe card industry with a handful companies. His past accomplishments and challenges include starting and operating facilities in the early ‘90’s for Cerprobe and mid-late '90's for Wentworth in the Austin area. The early 00’s found him at FormFactor concentrating in logic market sales followed by a vertical probe product director position for K&S. When K&S sold their test division assets in 2006, he started BucklingBeam with the support of a long-term customer partners. Over the course of the past 20 years in the industry, Mike is most proud of his family, his friends, and the past few years.
